The energy photons carried by a photon is equal to E=hf. Fermions have half integral spin quantum numbers (½, 1½, 2½, etc.) and bosons have integral spin quantum numbers (0, 1, 2, etc.). The species of gauge bosons are the gluons, W− and W+ and Z bosons, and the photons. The helium−4 nucleus is a boson, which allows helium−4 to display superfluidity (zero viscosity and infinite thermal conductivity) at temperatures below 2.17 Kelvin. A few physicists begin to seriously wonder if perhaps b-decay really does violate conservation of energy, and Niels Bohr goes so far as to work out a possible scenario for how the Sun's energy could be generated by massive energy non-conservation resulting from b-decays.
